Vinca Minor
Vinca minor, also known as Lesser Periwinkle or Myrtle, is a low-growing, evergreen perennial commonly used as ground cover. It features glossy, dark green leaves and produces small, vibrant blue or purple funnel-shaped flowers in early spring. Growing 6-12 inches tall, Vinca minor spreads quickly through creeping stems, making it ideal for filling in shaded areas, along borders, or in woodland gardens. This hardy plant thrives in well-drained soils and partial to full shade, although it can tolerate a variety of conditions. While it is popular for its ornamental value and low-maintenance nature, Vinca minor can become invasive in some regions if not carefully managed.
