Vinca major
Vinca Major, also known as Greater Periwinkle, is an evergreen groundcover plant native to Europe and Asia. It features glossy, dark green leaves and vibrant, funnel-shaped purple or blue flowers that bloom in spring to early summer. Growing 6-12 inches tall, Vinca Major spreads rapidly through creeping stems, making it an excellent choice for covering ground, slopes, or as an ornamental addition to shaded garden areas. While it thrives in partial to full shade and well-drained soils, it can also tolerate a range of conditions. Due to its spreading habit, Vinca Major can be invasive in some regions, outcompeting native plants if not carefully managed.
